| Polly Joan's photography reflects the natural beauty of Central and Upstate New York. While maintaining focus, she softens edges with vibrant color and light to support an intrinsically natural impression of nature. Her whimsical side portrays charming views of the countryside and flowers as well as delightful photographs of wildlife and domestic animals.
Polly Joan's photography has been sold to collectors throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Residing in Ithaca, New York, she sells from her studio in the winter months and at the colorful Ithaca Farmers' Market on Cayuga Lake during the summer and Fall. She studied Art History and Drawing extensively at Oberlin College, where she received her BA in 1955. She received a Masters from Cornell University in 1976. In 1989 she started her own business, marketing her photographic art work to an enthusiastic public. The Finger Lakes is a beautiful and interesting area to visit: boating, camping, hiking, state parks, wineries, and the Women's Hall of Fame. If you find yourself visiting this lovely tourist area, give Polly Joan a call in advance to set up an appointment.
